The framework deal includes rising main and sewer network alterations and connections. The 30-month contract is estimated to be worth in the region of £30m to £50m, depending on the design solutions chosen from continuing feasibility work.
The pumping station, in the Partick area of Glasgow,needs to transfer up to 1,900 litres per second. The new rising main will be either 3km or 10km long, depending upon the point of connection chosen in the feasibility phase, either Shieldhall or Dalmuir wastewater treatment works.
Initial paperwork needs to be submitted by 4 October.
