Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering has been awarded a £14m contract for the construction of a new road junction at West Bromwich in the West Midlands.
Client for the improvements to the A41/A4031 Grade Separated Interchange is Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
The work involves conversion of the junction between the A41 and A4031 into a grade separated interchange by the construction of an underpass formed between secant pile walls, two road over-bridges and a footway bridge.
The formation of the scheme is below the water table and consequently temporary and permanent dewatering will be required.
