is proud to announce the opening of their new training facility in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
Asbestos Awareness is just one of the lessons being taught at the new training school, the opening ceremony was in conjunction with the culminating of the prestigious award Investors in People.
The Peter Galsworthy from the Health & Safety Executive unveiled the plaque in conjunction with EMS Directors, Robert Ferry Group Operations Director and Chris Webber, Group Health, Safety & Environmental Director.
Mr Webber said “We have worked very closely with the HSE to develop the training centre and some of their ideas have gone into it. The launch went extremely well and the HSE was pleased with the outcome of it”
The training centre re-enforces our commitment to quality and training of both our own staff and that of our clients and associates for courses on asbestos management, health and safety, first aid and ventilation hygiene awareness.
The centre has ‘state of the art’ touch screen technology along with an adaptable practical assessment area providing a diverse area and the opportunity to practice and improve individual skills in a fully controlled environment. Training can include the erection and dismantling of asbestos enclosures.
Fault bays are also set up to prepare the work force for any hazardous situations that may occur, such as electrical faults and trip hazards.
EMS Group Holdings Ltd has been in the business of asbestos removal and management for 26 years and was previously based in Woolmer Green and Hertford, before moving to Hoddesdon three years ago and have won many prestigious awards including ROSPA for four consecutive years and has described the Investors In People award as the jewel in the crown.
