ISG Pearce has won a four-year framework contract worth £42m in Gloucestershire from Two Rivers Housing.
The contractor will tackle the replacement and regeneration of existing precast reinforced concrete housing, plus the housing association's new build development programme.
Works are also likely to include access, sewer systems, infrastructure, enabling and landscaping.
Two Rivers Housing looks after around 3,600 homes in the Forest of Dean. It aims to build 150 new homes a year through its development programme.
The framework agreement may be used by other providers of social housing who are members of the Guinness Procurement Partnership or the Central Housing Investment Consortium.
ISG Pearce saw off eight other contractors to clinch the deal.
