Dutch-owned construction group Volker Wessels has bought waterproofing and concrete repair contractor Quickseal out of administration.
Volker's structural repairs business Volker Laser paid £300,000 to acquire Quickseal for £300,000, according to administrative receivers Begbies Traynor.
Quickseal, a family run contractor which entered administration on 7 May.
Most of Quickseal’s UK assets and operational staff were transferred on 8 May to Volker Laser, which plans to retain the majority of staff and honour contracts already held with long term clients.
Mike Weaver, managing director of Volker Laser, said: “We are pleased to have made this asset transfer which will provide VolkerLaser with additional skills and experience in the building and construction market, where our existing portfolio concentrates on the civil engineering market.”
