Willmott Dixon has won a five and a half year contract worth £58m with possibly extensions from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to provide responsive repairs to nearly 12,000 homes and properties.
The deal will be delivered by the group’s repair and maintenance specialist Willmott Dixon Partnerships.
The company will work with the council’s arms length management organisation (ALMO) 2010 Rotherham to deliver a repairs service to council-owned property in the Rotherham areas of Wentworth South, Wentworth Valley, Rother Valley West and Rother Valley South.
The new contract goes live in October following a mobilisation period and will see Willmott Dixon Partnerships responsible for the upkeep of homes, garages, communal areas, community centre and boiler houses.
The scope of the contract covers repairs, voids (major and minor), capital works, gas and electrical, plus aids and adaptations, with an option to extend the initial five and a half years by a further four, based on performance. The company will also transfer in 170 employees currently with the council.
This new contract award brings to over 110,000 the number of properties that Willmott Dixon Partnerships is responsible for. This includes over 60,000 properties for Europe’s biggest landlord, Birmingham City Council, in the north and south of the city.
