The A-Plant order is one of the biggest to be won by JLG in the UK this year and the new machines are now being delivered to A-Plant depots.
The JLG order is also A-Plant's largest single order for powered access platforms and brings it spend on lifts so far this year to £13m. As previously reported, A-Plant has also spent £3m on 112 new Skyjacks and £4m on more than 200 Terex Genie units.
The JLG order comprises diesel-powered articulated boom lifts up to 80ft and straight booms up to 85ft, as well as battery-powered booms from 34ft to 45ft and scissor lifts from 12ft to 40ft.
The latest purchases include the Toucan 12E Plus, a 34ft electric boom lift for operations in narrow spaces, with greater vertical and horizontal reach and rotating basket to get up, around and over obstacles.
A-Plant regional managing director Paul Dennis said: “We have traded with JLG for many years as they offer some of the highest specification products on the market. More and more of our customers require environmentally friendly and Stage IIIB compliant equipment to meet ‘green’ building requirements, so this has been a key consideration in the selection of equipment. The new range also includes equipment with longer run times, zero emissions and less dependency on hydraulic oils.”
