The work involves developing designs for repairing transport corridors and upgrading infrastructure on several Pennsylvania interstates. As the lead designer on I-70 (Yukon Interchange) and I-80 mainline reconstruction), Aecom will provide multidisciplinary services. In addition, Aecom will be a major sub-consultant on I-78, responsible for road design and interchange geometry analysis associated with an interchange with Pennsylvania Route 61 in Hamburg.
Aecom will also act as programme manager in Philadelphia, responsible for day-to-day activities associated with the US$500m (£328m) reconstruction on I-95 and its interchange with the Betsy Ross Bridge.
“We are delighted to partner with PennDOT to support its commitment to increase safety, reliability and mobility across Pennsylvania,” said John Dionisio, Aecom chairman and chief executive officer. “By using intelligent solutions to upgrade some of the state’s most important roads, we are proud to be able to contribute to improved travel conditions for residents and visitors.”
