Cleveland Bridge UK is installing five bridges on the tram network. To overcome the problem of accessing part of the site over a flood relief channel, it has hired a JLG 800AJ boom, which has a horizontal outreach of 15.74m and a platform height of 24.38m.
It is also using five Haulotte HA16PX boom lifts “because they have very good manoeuvrability and provide sufficient reach for us to work on the bridge structures”, said project manager Ronnie Long.
To keep the noise down when working at night, a Genie bi-energy boom is also on hire from AFI.
