The contract is worth up to £15m a year and runs for an initial five years, with two optional two-year extensions.
Amec Foster Wheeler said that this made it “one of the largest project management contracts within the UK nuclear industry”.
EDF Energy owns and operates 15 nuclear plants at eight nuclear power stations in the UK. Amec Foster Wheeler will provide support for EDF’s technical offices in Gloucester and East Kilbride as well as at Dungeness, Sizewell, Hunterston, Torness, Heysham 1 & 2, Hartlepool and Hinkley Point nuclear plants.
