Ashghal is responsible for the planning, design, construction and management of Qatar's road infrastructure. Ferrovial Services will provide consulting services with a view to improving issues such as policies, processes and procedures related to road operation and maintenance, customer service and financial management.
"We are strengthening our foothold in the Middle East, an extremely important market,” said Santiago Olivares, CEO of Amey parent company Ferrovial Services. “Amey is a valuable strategic partner for the Qatari government in view of its extensive skills and experience in transport consultancy services in the UK."
Thirty engineers from Ferrovial Services will travel to Qatar to join a team of more than 150 Qatari professionals responsible for road management and maintenance. The company will also advise on the creation of a new road asset management system to increase efficiency and improve maintenance services throughout the road network.
