Apollo scoops £12 million hat trick of new projects

25 Nov 10 Apollo has been awarded three contracts totalling £12m to carry out refurbishment work for Greenfields Community Housing in Essex.

Two of the three projects involve work to bring 1970’s-built sheltered accommodation in Hatfield Peverel and Halstead up to the Government’s  ‘Lifetime Homes’ standard.  The contract will also cover external work, landscaping and the provision of sustainable energy sources. 

The third contract for Apollo is a 43-week Decent Homes project, due to begin in early 2011.  1200 properties in Braintree and Cressing will receive replacement kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors, along with improvements to their heating, wiring, insulation and roofing.

Divisional Director, Glenn Potter, said:  “We are very pleased indeed to be working with Greenfields Community Housing on these projects, to help improve standards for its residents.  We share many of Greenfields’ values and principles, and very much look forward to further developing our working relationship with them.” 

Daniel Allen,Property Services Director at Greenfields,added:  “Greenfields has made a firm commitment to our residents to bring all homes up to standard by the end of 2012.  We want to maintain and hopefully improve our high satisfaction level of 93% and we are confident that Apollo can help us to achieve this. I look forward to working with them - both to improve our homes and also to carry out community initiatives that will benefit all local residents.”
