The deal comes on the back of nearly two years of co-operation between the two companies, with APS conducting pre-delivery inspections and providing warranty support in the UK.
MEC’s product range includes the Titan Boom series and thenew 6092RT Ultra-Deck, a 20m (60ft) rough terrain scissor lift. APS will also be promoting the Crossover hybrid 4x4 scissors and Speed Level sigma lifts.
Richard Tindale, sales and marketing director for IAPS Group, which owns APS, said: “MEC produces some truly ingenious products that deliver increased safety and productivity, while also reducing operating costs.
“These are high quality, robust and reliable machines that in many cases are the only available equipment solution of their kind on the market. The MEC range will therefore really complement our existing portfolio of self-propelled access platforms, providing our customers with even wider choice.”
APS is already the UK distributor for Hinowa tracked lifts and compact plant and owns the Hinowa UK brand. It is also an authorised Genie distributor and sole UK distributor for Isoli truck mounts, Ommelift, Wienold Lift and Youngman BoSS powered products.
