Projectbureau ZuidasDok has confirmed that it intends to award the ZuidasDok engineering contract to Arcadis and Witteveen+Bos, supported by the consultancy AT Osborne. It is a framework agreement for a period of six years for plan development and preparatory work for the realisation of the ZuidasDok project.
The group’s first assignments consist of design, planning procedures and project management for a period of 18 months. The total contract value for this period is approximately €7m (£6m), €5m of which will go to Arcadis.
Project ZuidasDok concerns the expansion of road capacity over a length of more than 5km and taking highway A10 underground in the vicinity of the Zuidas. In order to accommodate future growth of the number of commuters, Amsterdam Zuid station will be expanded and integrated into urban and regional public transport systems.
