Austrians to supply British Museum cladding

15 Nov 11 Austrian company GIG Fassaden has been awarded an £11.8m curtain walling contract for the British Museum’s new World Conservation and Exhibitions Centre in London.

Designed by architects Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the new centre is scheduled to open in late 2013.

GIG Fassaden has been contracted to design, manufacture and supply anodised aluminium double glazed curtain wall systems, cast glass rainscreen, frameless double glazed cladding, anodised aluminium cladding, louvres and associated metalwork.

GIG Fassaden also supplied windows and canopies for some of the buildings on the London 2012 Olympics' Athletes Village.
