The LTM 1200-5.1 will operate out of Baldwins’ Newport depot.
The crane has a 72m telescopic main boom and Baldwins has opted for a 12.2m to 22m double fly-jib which can be offset by 0°, 22.5° and 45°. This provides a maximum height under hook of 98m and an optimum working radius of 78m with a maximum 1,000kg load.
The crane superstructure is powered by a four-cylinder Liebherr diesel engine which develops 145kW at 1800rpm. The crane cab can be hydraulically tilted to improve the operator’s view.
The five-axle carrier, with 10x8x10 drive/steer, is powered by a six-cylinder 370kW Liebherr diesel engine.
Baldwins managing director Wayne Baldwin said: "These cranes are first choice for us simply because they are reliable, offer excellent performance right through the duty charts and the Liebherr after sales product support is absolutely first-class.”
