The US$30m (£17.7m) contract for 625 Water Street at the Waterfront Park project is the company’s first with owner PN Hoffman & Associates.
The residential building has been designed by SK&I Architectural Design Group and includes 108 units. Amenities will include an entrance lobby, landscaped courtyard, club room, private rooftop and courtyard. The five-storey building is set above a one-storey garage substructure.
“We feel privileged to build a world-class building for such a prestigious client,” said David Laib, senior vice president of Balfour Beatty ե֭.
The building is part of the new US$1.5bn Southwest Waterfront mixed-use development. The new Waterfront will include 560 residential units and 600 hotel rooms as well as offices, retail, parking and leisure facilities.
Balfour Beatty is scheduled to begin construction this month with completion expected in January 2016.
