The workshop has been on the same site in Granitehill Road for 132 years, since 1880.
It was acquired by Mansell in 1997, which in turn was taken over by Balfour Beatty in 2003.
Products range from external doorsets for the social housing sector to bespoke joinery for royal palaces – the company has a Royal Warrant for building services to Her Majesty's palaces in Scotland.
All 62 employees will lose their jobs unless they can be redeployed elsewhere in the group.
