Interbuild is responsible for half of the €40m (£31.4m) contract. The project includes renovation of the current three AXA offices at Troon Place in the centre of Brussels. The middle building will be completely demolished and rebuilt. The different levels between the two flanking buildings will be linked with integrated ramps, stairwells and elevators. The facades will consist of a curtain wall with three layers of glass, covered with a diagonal pipe system as decoration. The base of the building is lined with stone to match the facade of the adjacent historic building.
The two outer offices are to be renovated. The atrium of the listed building at Troon Place will have a new glass dome. The building on the other side of the block is being completely dismantled down to the structure and redesigned. The atrium roof will be demolished to create an open patio area.
Construction starts this month and is expected to complete at the beginning of 2017.
