Barr’s 2010 turnover grew to £253.8m, up from £170.6m in 2009 and even beating the £294m of the peak year 2007.
Major contracts to build supermarkets for Tesco and J Sainsbury also helped swell the coffers.
Pre-tax profits for 2010 were £2.8m, up from £1.3m in 2009, though the latter figure included £1.2m of restructuring costs.
Headcount shrank during the year from 740 to 702.
Barr was acquired by Northern Ireland’s McLaughlin & Harvey in 2007 and subsequently transferred to sister company Trench Holdings.
