Bouygues and Colas on Gatwick framework

19 Sep 11 The Bouygues Gatwick consortium of Bouygues Bâtiment International and Colas has been selected for the Gatwick airport major works framework.

The framework is expected to be worth £1bn to all contractors over the next few years. Works include upgrading terminal facilities, new aircraft piers, runway resurfacing, car park construction and modernisation of baggage systems.

Different subsidiaries of Bouygues Õ¥Ö­¼§ and Colas have recently worked at Pafos and Larnaka airports in Cyprus and on several buildings and terminals at Paris Charles De Gaulle airport and Lyon airport in France.

Madani Sow, head of Bouygues Gatwick, said: "We are very proud of being selected for the major works framework and are doing our best to offer Gatwick airport all the expertise of the Bouygues group."
