Dragages Macau is responsible for the construction of the core and shell, including the reinforced concrete structure, structural steel exoskeleton, curtain wall and cladding. Work is scheduled to last for more than three years, with more than 1,000 employees will be working on site at peak periods.
The contract was awarded by Melco Crown Entertainment, which owns and develops casinos and leisure and entertainment complexes. The City of Dreams includes the world’s largest water-based show and extensive space devoted to gambling and designer-brand shopping as well as hotels and restaurants.
The new hotel will have 783 bedrooms including 10 villas, a casino, restaurants, conference rooms and a sky pool. The 39-storey building will provide approximately 151,000m² of floor space.
