Bouygues signs €2.3bn French high-speed rail deal

29 Jun 12 The public-private partnership contract for the future Nimes and Montpellier high-speed rail line was signed yesterday between Réseau Ferré de France and the OC’VIA joint venture.

The JV is made up of Bouygues Õ¥Ö­¼§, Colas, Spie Batignolles, Alstom, infrastructure Meridiam and FIDEPPP. The signing of the contract carried out by RFF CEO and president Hubert du Mesnil and Bouygues Õ¥Ö­¼§ CEO Yves Gabriel.

Õ¥Ö­¼§ will start by the end of the year. The project is expected to generate approximately 6,000 direct and indirect jobs per year for a period of five years of work.

The project involves an investment of €2.28bn (£1.85bn) across the 25-year term.
