The contracts for Qatar Public Works Authority involve the design and construction of tunnels with a combined contract value of approximately €550m, of which Bouygues Travaux Publics’ share is roughly €285m. The north section (MTS01) will be 16km long and 3m wide. The south section (MTS03) will be 14km long and 4.5m wide.
Jean-Philippe Trin, deputy CEO with responsibility for Bouygues Travaux Publics, DTP and VSL, said: “For this ambitious project, we have developed an innovative technical solution that will enable us to address the customer’s concerns effectively and fully meet their expectations.”
The contracts are part of the Inner Doha Resewerage Implementation Strategy (Idris), a project to cater for population growth by redesigning and expanding the system.
