The deal, announced on 9th October, sees Breedon Aggregates take over Barr’s 11 quarries, five asphalt plants and six ready-mixed concrete plants for a sale price of £20.8m cash.
Barr Quarries is the market-leader in aggregates in southwest Scotland, with operations extending from Dalry in the north to Stranraer in the south and east to Moffat.
