The £123m contract for Vaughan Corporate Centre Station forms part of the Toronto to York Spadina subway extension project.
Carillion had already been awarded a £360m construction management contract for the revitalisation of Toronto's Union Station.
Vaughan Corporate Centre Station will be the anchor station to the 8.6 km subway line extension from Downsview Station in Toronto to the city of Vaughan.
The two-level, underground station will be a multi-modal hub with on-street passenger pick-up and drop-off and connections to regional bus networks. The station will be constructed primarily from reinforced concrete, with-high-quality architectural finishes and a distinctive domed main entrance, which will have integrated skylights that will allow daylight to reach the underground concourse. The concourse will have multiple knockout panels to allow for future rail connections. Õ¥Ö¼§ will start this summer, with completion scheduled for the autumn of 2014.
