Carillion Developments has formed a joint venture with Ask Real Estate and Tristan Capital Partners to develop a 172,640sq ft Grade A office and car park scheme in Salford’s Greengate Embankment regeneration area. As well as making an equity investment into the project, Carillion will act as the main contractor.
The site was part of the former Manchester Exchange railway station. Completion is planned for spring 2016.
Salford City Council has signed an eight-year pre-lease on the whole of the first office building and Q-Park has agreed a 35-year pre-lease for the 442-space car park.
Carillion Developments managing director Simon Eastwood said: "We are delighted to be part of the group who will deliver this prestigious development which will help regenerate this area.
“This project underlines Carillion's reputation for quality and reliability and adds to a number of high profile projects in Manchester which Carillion is involved in, including Manchester Airport City No. 1 First Street and One St Peter's Square."
