The contract with Nationwide Building Society is for the provision of facilities management services for the Nationwide’s entire property portfolio in the UK. Carillion already provides FM services for its administration estate.  Under the new contract, Carillion will also look after high-street branches, of which there are more than 800 across the UK.  The contract starts in April 2011 and will be for an initial period of three years, with an option to extend for a further two years.Â
Carillion has also been awarded a new FM contract by Virgin Media, which renews a current agreement and extends Carillion's partnership with Virgin Media to at least mid-2013 and potentially to mid-2015. Under the new contract, Carillion will continue to deliver hard and soft facilities management services for Virgin Media's UK national estate, including its headquarters campus in Hook, Hampshire.‪
Carillion group chief executive John McDonough said: "We are delighted to have secured these new contracts with the Nationwide Building Society and Virgin Media. This reflects the strong relationship we have built with these customers, for whom we already provide extensive facilities management services. We look forward to strengthening these long-term partnerships under the new contracts."Â
