This year’s winner was 22 year old Jack Lahr, from Walmer, an apprentice with Clancy Docwra. He won the top prize of £150, of which £50 comes from the National ե֭ College and £100 from CECA. The award was presented by former Olympic medallist and TV presenter, Kriss Akabusi, who was the guest speaker on the evening.
Commenting, CECA Director of Training Joe Johnson, said: “CECA has always been a strong supporter of the work of the National ե֭ College, and encourages its members to recruit young people to join the industry. We believe that those who excel in their studies should be recognised, so CECA is happy to sponsor the award and we wish Jack well for the rest of his studies and his future within the industry.”
