More than 4,000 workers will be involved in the construction of the 16 storey head office. More than 50% of the work force comes from the Greater Manchester area, it is claimed.
Salford-based main contractor BAM has placed orders with more than 100 firms within the Greater Manchester area, including groundworks from Stockport contractor Adana, fill materials from Manchester-based Chartrange , brickwork from McCrory’s of Cheadle, and the concrete frame from Warrington’s PC Harrington.
