Subsidiary Alberta Highway Services has won the maintenance contract from public-private partnership concessionaire Mountain View Partners. The 31km section of  6- to 8-lane highway includes 14 interchanges, 47 bridges and a tunnel. The Alberta Highway Services contract, which will run up to 2051, amounts to CA$204m.
Standard General Calgary, another Colas Canada company, has been appointed by the design and build consortium of KGL Constructors - made up of Kiewit, Graham and Ledcor - to manufacture and apply all the asphalt concrete required by the project. The quantity amounts to a million tonnes, for a total of CA$95m.
