The City of Glasgow College won planning approval last month for a new city centre twin site campus. It has now published a contract notice in the EU Official Journal.
Approximately 52,000 square metres will be developed at City Campus on Cathedral Street and 15,500 square metres at Riverside Campus on Thistle Street, on the banks of the River Clyde.
The aim is to start construction in summer 2013, with an expectation of 36 months to complete. The college is committed to ensuring business as usual and that any disruption will be kept to a minimum for both staff and students.
City of Glasgow College is the largest college in Scotland, with approximately 32,000 students.
