Harvard Business School in Boston has cancelled the order of constructing the Ruth Mulan Chu Chao Center worth about US$51m. The Morton Plant Hospital Association has also cancelled the order of constructing a hospital building in Florida worth about US$110m.
Meanwhille, Skanska has signed a contract to build a new healthcare centre in New York for US$96m (£60m). The contract with the New York Hotel Trades Council & Hotel Association of New York City is for the new Brooklyn Health Center, a 12-storey, 15,000m2 facility incorporating office space.
Skanska has also signed a contract for a 6,000m2 educational facility in New York City. The contract value is US$60m and construction will begin in the first quarter of 2015 for completion in December 2017.
