The scope of works includes partial demolition of its existing sports centre and putting up a new building in its place, complete with new main sports hall, fitness suite, clinical spaces and office accommodation.
Contract value is estimated at between £25m and £27m.
The university is looking to start construction in February 2015 and complete by June 2016. Gardiner & Theobald is the university’s contract consultant for the project.
