The works, valued at up to AU$70m (£46m), include the relocation of services and utilities, site readiness and demolition works and the provision of a high-voltage electrical supply for the main works. The contract was awarded by Transport for NSW.
The NWRL project will deliver a new 36km-long rapid transit rail link between Chatswood on Sydney’s north shore and the growing Hill’s district in the north west of Sydney.
“Our specialist team will place a particular focus on building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with the community,” said Baulderstone’s NSW general manager, Frank Lorenzetto. “We want to make sure that local residents are kept informed about the works being carried out to help minimise impact.
Completion of early works is due in mid-2014.
