Walton, 46 and a chartered accountant, has been with the company three years as financial controller. Prior to that he worked in senior finance management positions with BDO Stoy Hayward, KPMG and London Transport.Â
At T. Clarke he has played a major role in improving the group's financial controls and simplifying the reporting structure, the company said, including the development and implementation of a new IT platform to help manage our internal controls and management reporting.  Â
The group has also recruited a new group financial controller. Kim Thistleton joins from accountancy firm Reeves & Neyland, where she audited a group subsidiary for several years.Â
