The crane began the trip in late December and will now be prepared in readiness for starting work in the spring on the construction of the US$3.1bn (£1.94bn) New NY Bridge, which will replace the Tappan Zee Bridge. The bridge is being designed and built by , Â a consortium that includes Fluor, American Bridge, Granite and Traylor Bros together with designers HDR, Buckland & Taylor, URS and GZA.
