The HB215LCs, which offer up to 40% reduction in fuel consumption, are the first hybrid machines in the Hawk fleet.
“We constantly strive to enhance the quality and efficiency of our fleet,” said director Paul Allman. “Environmental awareness, sustainability and innovation are all Hawk values and in these new machines – especially the hybrids – we are proud to be able to offer our customers a pioneering option when it comes to industry leading fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.”
He said that the new dash-10 Komatsu machines can provide fuel savings of £2 to £3 per hour against earlier models while the hybrids save up to £5 an hour.
“In addition to saving fuel the new generation of excavators enable our clients and their own customers to meet their sustainability goals by being more fuel efficient and reducing their carbon footprint,” Mr Allman added.
