From 11 bids received, the four selected are:
- EC Harris
- Jacobs Engineering UK
- Mott Macdonald
- Turner & Townsend Project Management.
For Jacobs and Mott MacDonald, it is their first time on the airport owner’s framework. Their selection comes at the expense of Davis Langdon, which has now been dropped from the list, along with Doig+Smith, which has 150 projects under its belt for BAA.
Value of the work to the consultants is expected to be £15m a year, between them, managing £3.5bn-worth of capital works.
It is reported that Jacobs will be responsible for the western campus at Terminals 3 and 4, with Mott MacDonald working on infrastructure. EC Harris and Turner & Townsend will look after the Terminal 2 rebuild.
