The new suite of 13 construction works lots, collectively worth £290m, has been awarded to a total of 21 specialist contractors.
These suppliers will between them support a range of activities including general civil engineering, specialist drainage and technology as part of the company’s delivery arrangements in the region.
This is the last in a series of three asset delivery contracts in the region. Under asset delivery arrangements, Highways England will now take direct responsibility for managing both routine maintenance and the delivery of capital renewal and improvement schemes. The framework begins on 1st July 2017 and runs for up to four years.
