The US$1.1bn (£655m) project includes nine interchanges, two underpasses, two overpasses, associated retaining walls structures and approximately 171 reinforced concrete culverts. The 247km six-lane highway will connect the cities of Bidbid and Sur.
The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately US$4m.
"We are honoured to be part of this major infrastructure project," said Mohammed Al Rais, senior vice president and managing director (Middle East) for Hill's Project Management Group. "The positive impact of the highway on commerce and tourism will benefit all of Oman.”
