ISG will refurbish, remodel and upgrade all 103 bedrooms and public spaces within the hotel building, and construct a new grand ballroom at the golf and leisure venue. US owner Donald Trump, known in the UK as much for his idiosyncratic hair, TV celebrity and presidential run as much as he is for property development, is aiming for opulence at the Trump Turnberry – every guest room will have a large marble bathroom, for example.
External enhancements include the replacement of all windows with new high-performance glazed units, repairs to the roof and dormers and renewal of render to all elevations at the 109-year-old building.
ISG has already worked at several of Scotland’s best-known hotels, including the Old Course Hotel and Hamilton Grand development in St Andrews, Gleneagles Hotel and Cameron House Hotel in Loch Lomond.
“Adding Trump Turnberry to our portfolio of luxury Scottish hospitality projects represents an important win for the business and underlines our specialist expertise delivering outstanding facilities to exacting standards,” said regional managing director Andy McLinden.
