This is ISG’s fifth scheme for the not-for-profit residential care provider, which includes the £4.7m development that it is currently building in Dunstable, Bedfordshire.
The Letchworth facility, to be built on the site formerly occupied by Lannock School, replaces two existing Quantum Care homes for older people. It will accommodate 75 residents.
It will be traditionally constructed with brick and block work and a range of architectural finishes to its façade, including rainscreen cladding, render and brickwork. ISG will create a roof terrace area and also install photo voltaic panels at roof level. A BREEAM Excellent environmental performance rating is targeted. Â
