Beeston-based J Tomlinson generated sales of £63.3m in the year ending 30th September 2015, its latest filed accounts reveal, up from £50.9m the previous year.
Pre-tax profit for the year was £1.37m, up from £629,000 in 2014.
Chief executive Mark Davis said that the company was on target to see a turnover reach £84m this year. He said the 2015 result “reflects the steady and sustainable growth that J Tomlinson is experiencing as we continue to expand and increase our workforce in both the East and West Midlands”.
He said: “We are expecting this to continue, and have already secured 95% of our predicted turnover of £84m for 2016.” That equates to 65% growth in just two years.
Mr Davis added: “The growth has been across the board, encompassing our services in construction, refurbishment, repairs and maintenance, mechanical and electrical engineering, energy efficiency and renewables services, and facilities management.
Recent contract awards include a ninth contract in less than two years at Derby’s RTC Business Park, the construction of the £5.1m visitor centre and factory extension at Triumph in Hinckley, and a three-year maintenance contract with West Midlands Ambulance Service covering more than 130 sites.
