Valued at £3.5m a year, the contract runs for an initial five years and has an option for a further five-year extension.
The contract started this month. Highways services covered by the deal include resurfacing, reactive maintenance, gulley cleaning and winter maintenance.
The Rutland contract deal follows previous awards for Lafarge Tarmac Contracting this year from Norfolk County Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, and Halton and Warrington borough councils.
Lafarge Tarmac Contracting managing director Paul Fleetham said: “Our success on this contract reflects the strong experience, industry-leading expertise and commitment of Lafarge Tarmac’s team, as well as Rutland County Council’s confidence in our safety, quality and delivery. With our strong presence across the region we will work in partnership with the Council to deliver a first class network for local people and businesses.”
