The 130-tonne capacity Explorer 5500 is the seventh Terex crane in Leggat’s fleet. It has a 60m main boom, reaching 86.5m with extensions. A new asymmetric outrigger positioning system allows the five-axle crane to work in a higher capacity range with less counterweight.
Eddy Donaghy, owner of Leggat Plant, said: “Our last Terex crane, a Challenger 3160, delivered in September 2013, has proved so successful and enjoyed such a high utilisation rate, that we had no hesitation in choosing this latest model from Terex.”
