The contract also covers the provision of facility management services over the 21-year concession period.
The project for Azienda ULSS 9 Treviso comprises 90,000m2 of new construction, including a high-technology building housing 22 operating theatres and a range of care facilities covering intensive care, radiotherapy, microbiology, nuclear medicine, laboratories and patient wards.
Lend Lease Group chief executive officer and managing director Steve McCann said that the contract is a major win for the company’s European, Middle East and Asia business. "This win builds upon Lend Lease's international track record in health infrastructure design, delivery and management and adds to the successful delivery of the Brescia 1 & 2 hospital Public Finance Initiative projects in Italy," he said.
