The 21 LC 750 tower crane, launched in 2009, has been one of Linden Comansa’s most succesful models, mainly due to the design of the slewing part, and ease of assembly. A similar flat top design has been applied in the 21 LC 660 tower crane and the first jib and counterjib sections are assembled together directly over the slewing platform through fast conections. The manufacturer says that this saves time, reduces costs in auxiliary equipment, and improves the safety.
Most of the jib sections of the 660 are the same as those on the 750,Ìýmaking them interchangeable.Ìý
For the tower of the 21 LC 660, a new mast section has been designed, named D35, which is cheaper than the D36Ìýtower section of the 21 LC 750. Both 5.5m high by 2.5m wide, which makes them compatible and able to share the same hydraulic jacking cage. The D35 mast sections can be divided in four panels, are designed to be easy to assemble and transport, and are joined to other sections by pins.
Two standard tower configurations have been created: The first one uses only D35 tower sections, allowing the crane to achieve a freestanding height of 73.3m on fixing angles, or 69.9m on stationary or travelling base. The second configuration combines D35 with D36 sections, and allows the 21 LC 660 to reach a height of 78.8m on fixing angles and 80.9m on base version.ÌýThe modularity of the different tower sections from Linden Comansa allows alternative configurations, making a a freestanding height of 124.8m possible.
The 21 LC 660 features Linden Comansa's latest controls systems:
- Effi-Plus high speed hoist mechanisms, for hoisting speeds of up to 244m per minute.
- PowerLift System, which improves the load chart 10% by slowing speeds.
- Slewing mechanisms with frequency control, for maximum energy efficiency.
The standard hoist engine, with 110kW, has a Lebus drum with capacity for 1,450m of rope. Two otherÌýengines, with rope capacity of 790m and with 110kW and 65kWÌýrespectively, are available as optional.Ìý
ThisÌýfull LC2100 series now has five models. (See below.)Ìý
