The contractor will build a science block with 10 laboratories and a four-court sports hall for Sacred Heart High School in Hammersmith.
The proposed new build has an area of 2,600m² over four storeys.
The contract award comes hard on the heels of Bowmer & Kirkland picking up a £25m contract to build Scotland’s new National Performance Centre for Sport at Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh campus. This is the building with a roof design that architects Reiach & Hall say is “inspired by” the angle and trajectory of a goal scored by Roberto Carlos for Brazil against France in 1997.
