The development will provide support and accommodation for disadvantaged young people aged 16-25.
A former vicarage has been demolished to make way for the six-storey building which will house 54 self-contained living units. Each bedsit will include en-suite bathrooms. There will also be ten communal kitchens as well as facilities for learning.
In addition, the building will incorporate sustainable features such as a green sedum roof, helping it to achieve a Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating of ‘very good’. ե֭ work will start in April and take 12 months to complete.
